SOCIAL REINSERTION
ICPALA considers it as the process by which a person who has been marginalized or deprived of his or her freedom reintegrates into society. Basically, there are five concomitant activities that must be attended to so that a person deprived of freedom satisfies the process, made up of: work, training, education, health and sport. ICPALA strives for penitentiary systems to comply with the facilities, installations, support and resources with which these activities are attended to; complying with social reintegration in all its aspects is complying with the law, because otherwise, not only is the legal framework violated, but society is exposed to risks that the State is obliged to avoid. Ultimately, the main objective of social reintegration is to prevent the recurrence of criminal behavior and to facilitate the adaptation of the individual to life in society.
