SAFE OPERATION

The concept refers to the distinction awarded by ICPALA to those facilities that comply with one hundred percent of the performance standards applied in thirteen processes that contain more than 200 standards, in general. With the specificity of each prison or the particular directives of the penitentiary systems, the scope of the areas, processes, services or attention to all aspects that operate a prison are established to determine the standards and norms to be accredited and certified, respectively. When all the processes qualify with approval and the evidence is available in terms of administrative transparency and accountability, the evaluation converges on the security aspects and positively impacts the comprehensive management of the established scopes. When this happens, the area, process, service or facility, previously agreed upon, achieves management in Safe Operation conditions.
